What could the repayments look like?
Try different amounts, repayment periods and interest rates in the loan payment calculator. It is an independent example, not this company’s quote. A longer term can lower each payment while increasing total interest.
Already know your monthly budget? Estimate an amount you could plan around. For an actual offer, include its fees and payment schedule.
What deserves a closer look
Verify the pension type
Eligibility differs by programme and pension classification. Receiving a pension alone may not be sufficient.
Check your remaining pension
Deduct loan payments and other obligations before planning essential spending.
Use the official channel
Confirm the application process directly with your pension institution and review every deduction.
Your questions, answered.
Is every pension type eligible for the same pension loan?
No. SSS publishes different qualifying conditions for retiree and survivor pensioners. Check your pension category rather than assuming all pensions qualify.
Does age affect the pension loan term?
SSS applies an age-at-end-of-term condition. A shorter available term can mean a higher monthly deduction for the same amount.
Can existing pension deductions affect eligibility?
Yes. Existing deductions and any pension already received in advance can affect how much is available for repayment and whether you qualify. Review the current pension record and budget from the amount you actually receive.
Must my SSS pension already be active?
SSS requires an active pension and a minimum receipt history under its rules. Confirm your status if payments have just started.
How are SSS pension loan payments collected?
SSS pension loan installments are deducted from the monthly pension. Work out the amount left after that deduction and other commitments. Keep enough for recurring essentials such as medicines, food and housing throughout the repayment period.
Why is my approved pension loan lower than the maximum?
Entitlement and repayment safeguards constrain the amount. A programme maximum is not a promise that every pensioner can borrow it.
What should I check before accepting a pension deduction?
Work out what remains for food, housing, medicines and other bills every month. Consider the full deduction period, not just the cash received today.
Does a Pesopal pension-loan listing replace contacting SSS or GSIS?
No. The relevant institution confirms your pension status, entitlement and available term. Pesopal cannot access your pension record or approve a loan.
Does Pesopal approve pension loans or lend me money?
No. Pesopal compares pension borrowing options and published information. The lender or programme administrator assesses your application and issues the offer. Changing our filters does not submit an application or guarantee eligibility.
What should I verify after comparing pension options on Pesopal?
Check your pension category, age eligibility, monthly deduction and remaining pension on the lender’s official website or app, then confirm your written offer. Rates, fees, limits and requirements can change after our review, Pesopal’s figures are a comparison starting point, not a binding quote.
