Loan app questions

What is a loan app?

It is a mobile application where you can apply for or manage borrowing. Some focus on loans, such as Tala and JuanHand. Others include borrowing inside a wallet or banking app, such as GLoan in GCash and Personal Loan in Maya.

How are loan apps different from online loans?

Online loans include applications made through websites as well as apps. This page focuses on apps you install on your phone. Choose the online loans comparison if you also want companies that accept browser-based applications.

Which app should I start with?

First check the borrowing options already available in an account you use. Compare the net cash received, total repayment and due dates with a dedicated lending app. An existing account can make checking an offer easier, but it does not establish that the offer is cheaper.

Does installing an app mean I can borrow?

No. You still need to meet the lender’s requirements and pass its assessment. GLoan is available to selected eligible users, while other apps also determine your access and limit individually.

Can I get the maximum amount on my first application?

Do not plan around the maximum. Published limits can include amounts available only to qualifying or repeat borrowers. Use the amount actually offered to you when working out whether the loan meets your needs.

How do I compare costs across apps?

Write down the cash that will reach your account and add every repayment. Include processing charges and any required fees. Compare the same borrowing amount and repayment period where possible, because daily and monthly rate labels alone are not enough.

Where should I download the app?

Start at the company’s official website and follow its app-store link. Check the developer name before installing. The official-app links on these cards go to company pages so you can find their supported download options.

Can I use an iPhone?

Check the download options on each company’s website before registering. Tala’s guidance directs borrowers to Google Play on their own Android phone. Do not assume an app with a similar name on another store is the same service.

What should I check before allowing phone permissions?

Read why the app needs each permission. Camera access may be used for an ID check, for example. If a request seems unrelated to your application, check the privacy information or ask official support before continuing.

How do I repay a loan from an app?

Use the repayment instructions in your own account and check the loan reference, amount and deadline. Keep the receipt until the payment appears. If it is not credited, contact official support before paying again.

Does Pesopal lend money or approve applications?

Pesopal compares companies and helps you understand the options. Applications, eligibility decisions and repayment agreements are handled by the lender. Check the current amount, fees and payment schedule in its app before accepting, because these can change.

What if I cannot afford the next payment?

Contact the lender before the due date and ask what repayment arrangements are available and what they cost. Rework your monthly budget before taking another loan to cover the payment.
