Registration, insurance, processing charges and financed accessories can vary between dealers and offers.
Leave room for running costs
Fuel, maintenance, safety equipment and time off the road belong in your monthly budget too.
Your questions, answered.
Can I use a personal loan to buy a motorcycle?
BPI and Metrobank permit broad personal purchases, so their cash loans are included as alternatives. You receive funds to pay the dealer rather than financing a specific unit through that dealer. Check that the approved proceeds after fees cover the cash price.
Can I finance a used motorcycle as well as a new one?
Yes, some companies in our comparison finance selected used motorcycles. BPI includes second-hand units from its repossessed inventory, and SB Finance also offers repossessed units. This does not mean any privately sold motorcycle qualifies. Confirm the exact unit before paying a reservation.
Can I buy from any motorcycle dealer?
Not necessarily. Motorcycle financing can be tied to accredited dealers or a lender’s own inventory. Check whether your preferred dealer, model and location are covered before comparing the deposit and monthly payment.
Can I get a motorcycle loan with no down payment?
There is a limited option in our comparison: BPI lists no minimum down payment for its Ayala/GG programme. That is a specific programme, not its standard offer for every buyer. Other BPI variants require a deposit, and SB Finance also requires one. Ask BPI whether you qualify for the programme and request a quotation showing any other upfront costs. We have not verified another no-down-payment offer among our listed companies.
Where should I pay the motorcycle down payment?
Pay only through the dealer or payment channel named in your approved agreement. Confirm the recipient with the lender, get an official receipt and keep a copy. Avoid sending a deposit to an individual simply because they claim to arrange financing.
Can self-employed motorcycle buyers apply?
Yes. BPI and SB Finance include qualifying self-employed applicants. You will need evidence that your income can support the repayments. Prepare business or earnings records and confirm how much operating history the lender requires.
Does motorcycle insurance come with the monthly payment?
Not necessarily. Insurance may be billed upfront, added to the financed amount or paid separately. Ask what cover is compulsory, what it costs and whether renewal premiums fall due while you are still repaying the bike.
What happens if I lose an on-time payment rebate?
If your offer includes an on-time rebate, a late payment can increase the amount due by removing that discount, and a separate penalty may also apply. Compare the regular installment as well as the discounted one so your budget does not depend on always receiving a rebate.
How should I compare two motorcycle installment offers?
Compare motorcycle installments using the same bike’s cash price. Add the down payment, all monthly payments and compulsory charges such as documentation or registration. A lower monthly installment can cost more overall if the repayment term is longer.
Does Pesopal approve motorcycle loans or lend me money?
No. Pesopal compares motorcycle borrowing options and published information. The lender or programme administrator assesses your application and issues the offer. Changing our filters does not submit an application or guarantee eligibility.
What should I verify after comparing motorcycle options on Pesopal?
Check the bike’s cash price, down payment, insurance and total installments on the lender’s official website or app, then confirm your written offer.
