Documents & Requirements

Employed-person permit

For a residence permit for an employed person, gross pay must be at least EUR 1,600 a month and satisfy the applicable collective agreement. The higher relevant requirement matters. A zero-hours promise is not enough.

Specialist permit

The specialist route has a separate EUR 3,937 monthly gross requirement in 2026. A job qualifying for an ordinary employed-person permit does not automatically qualify as specialist work.
