About Fiverr
Fiverr is a marketplace for packaged freelance services, called Gigs. Buyers choose an offer such as video editing, logo design or writing, then place an order or request a custom offer. Your listing explains what the buyer receives and how long delivery takes.
What the work involves
Start with a narrowly defined service. Show an example of the finished result, list the information you need from the buyer and set a sensible revision limit. Price extra deliverables separately so a small order does not turn into an open-ended project.
₱9,998–₱24,994/month
Suppose you sell a US$50 video-editing package and complete 4–10 orders in a month. After Fiverr’s 20% share, you keep US$160–400, or about ₱9,998–₱24,994, before software, payout costs and tax. These are chosen prices and order counts. Include revisions in the time you budget per package.
Peso conversions use ₱62.485 per US$1, the BSP reference for 30 September 2026. Your payout provider may use a different rate.
A video editor’s experience
In a May 2025 Fiverr Community post, markksantos described earning US$2,500 in one month after eight weeks of starting his video-editing gig in 2020. That is about ₱156,213 at our conversion rate. The account does not specify the country or whether this amount is before fees. It is a self-reported success story, not the result of a survey.

Your questions about Fiverr
How do I start getting freelance work on Fiverr?
Turn one skill into a clear service, called a Gig. Show a relevant sample and explain the deliverable, turnaround time and revisions included in each package. Build your offer around a specific problem a client needs solved, such as editing a short video or preparing a presentation.
Should I price low just to collect reviews?
Work out how long an order takes, including messages, preparation and revisions. Set a package price that still covers that time after the platform deduction. A tightly defined starter package lets buyers try your service without committing you to a large job at a loss.
Can I withdraw immediately after sending a delivery?
No. Submitting the delivery is one stage of the order. Earnings must complete the applicable order and clearance process before you can withdraw them. Check the available balance in your account and leave time for the payment provider to transfer the money.
How do I avoid endless revisions?
State the number and scope of revisions in the offer and confirm requirements before starting. Use the platform’s resolution process for disputes.
What should I put in my portfolio if I have no orders yet?
Create a sample for an imaginary client and label it as a personal project. For a presentation Gig, show a few slides built around one clear brief. Explain the problem and your decisions, and use only material you own or have permission to include. A relevant sample helps a buyer judge your work without invented client claims.
How should I divide my service into packages?
Make each tier a clear change in scope, such as the number of deliverables, revisions or included extras. State delivery times and what the buyer receives so they can choose without guessing. Check your category’s package requirements before setting prices.
What should I review before adding an extra to a Gig?
Check whether the extra adds work already included in a package. Define its deliverable, price and effect on delivery time. Packages combine the core service with revisions and extras, so consistent descriptions help prevent overlapping promises.
Which income records should I keep?
Save the order value, platform deduction, refunds and payout for each Gig. Keep receipts for work expenses separately. A bank deposit can combine several orders, so reconcile it to your order records before using the online-income tax guide.
